This week is my kid's spring break, and it also just so happens to be my week off of school between quarters....which I thought was going to be a perfect time for the kids and I to spend some time together. We discovered in early February that Carson would be spending his entire spring break with his mom this year, so I've known for a little while that none of my time would be spent with him and I have been pretty bummed about that. I decided that I would use the time to spend with my two kids and we would spend time at the park, weather permitting, and walking on the trails in town because they have been begging to go over there almost every day. Well, Monday and Tuesday it rained all day long so the park was completely out of the question.
I feel like spring break has been so boring for them! It would have been much better if Monday and Tuesday hadn't been rainy. Monday it actually downpoured! Hannah was sick last week for almost the entire week so she spent a lot of the first few days of spring break doing her homework. Now it's Wednesday and they are gone and I'm totally bummed. I hate it when my kids are gone, and they are going to be gone until Sunday!
I know, I'm just being whiney. I can't help it, I want my babies here!
So tomorrow I am going to get up and start cleaning my house from top to bottom to keep myself occupied. I don't have much to do, so it should keep me busy for a little while. After that....who knows what I'll do. I think I'm going to have to make a trip to the library....any suggestions on some good books?
