Next week begins our church's thirteen week course through Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. For those of you who do not know who Dave Ramsey is, he is a noted financial author and hosts a financial advice program on tv and radio. He is a Christian and his approach to obtaining financial peace is through biblical principals.
My husband and I have few current bills aside from rent and utilities. I personally have not had a loan in a few years. The last time I had a credit report, I had a score of zero because I have absolutely no credit. I've never had a credit card, and refuse to have one. I've only had two loans in my life and both have been paid off for a number of years.
Dave Ramsey teaches that if you can't purchase something with cash, then you don't need it. I was raised this way (although my parents have had credit cards in the past, and have them now) and I agree with his philosophy completely.
I can't wait to get started on this program! Dave teaches couples how to save money and also how to invest wisely. At the moment we are living on one income because I am a student, but Dave can teach us how to save money even while living on one income!
For a lot of people this comes naturally, but I think my husband and I will learn some very valuable information while taking this course.

Deuteronomy 8: 2-3
Man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
