Fruit Smoothies...mmmmmmm

I'm sure most people know how to make a fruit smoothie these days! I know that a lot of them call for plain yogurt and sometimes people put sugar in for some added sweetness. I am not a fan of yogurt, and I feel like fruit makes a smoothie sweet enough so I refuse to use either. I also like mine so thick you have to eat it with a spoon so I use all frozen fruit. You can add ice, but I think that takes away some of the flavor. Anyway, this is how I make my favorite fruit smoothies!

1 banana - frozen
1/2 C frozen berries (I like strawberries and mixed berries)
1/4 C 100% pure juice (I like apple)
less than 1/4 C skim milk

Place all in blender and blend until "smooth". (Hence the name.) Taste it mid way through and if you still think it's not sweet enough add a tsp of 100% pure honey, preferably local. If you don't like yours that thick, gradually add some more juice until you get your desired consistency. When I decided to wean myself off of coffee I started having one of these smoothies instead and it gave me more sustained energy. Good stuff. Watch out for brain freeze though.

They are good. I used all my frozen bananas up though and I haven't had one in a few days....I'm having withdrawals.
